Demetrius Nabors

Demetrius “Krayon” Nabors is a renowned pianist, composer, and producer in the Detroit area and the national contemporary jazz scene. A two-time Detroit Music Award winner for Outstanding Gospel/Christian Musician, he has collaborated with high-profile artists like KEM, Althea Rene, Tim Bowman, and Willie Bradley, achieving multiple Billboard chart successes. Notably, KEM's “Nobody” (2014) was nominated for a Grammy.

His discography includes five acclaimed releases, such as “A Journey Within” series and “Perseverance” (2021), inspired by the challenges of 2020. His latest EP, “Evolution” (2022), reflects his academic journey and was featured in Jazz Times Magazine. His recent single “Ascend,” released on May 10, 2024, was added to Sirius XM Watercolors and reached the Billboard Top 40.
