Gustavo Casenave

Gustavo Casenave, Uruguayan/American pianist and composer, is a Triple Grammy® winner as a leader (2019 & 2020 and 2022) with four additional nominations, Steinway Artist and Two-Time “Global Awards Gold Medal winner” (2019), declared “Illustrious Citizen” in 2021 by the Uruguayan Government, Majestic “Excellence Award 2022 winner” at the Excellence Piano Awards International Competition and “The American Prize” 2019 winner.

Casenave has toured extensively in Europe with Casenave – Wallisch duo and Casenave – Gebhardt Group, worldwide with Forever Tango, Tango Fire and Hector Del Curto’s Quintet as well as collaborating and recording with John Patitucci, Yo-Yo Ma, Eddie Gomez, Christian McBride, Bette Midler, Jane Ira Bloom and Paquito D’ Rivera among many others.

His signature fusion of jazz and tango is enjoyed by listeners across the age spectrum who are captivated by the compelling exuberance and emotional connections experienced from his music.
