Jim Alfredson’s Dirty Fingers is a Hammond organ based group that specializes in down home, funky jazz. Focusing on the soul-jazz of the 1960s, Jim Alfredson’s Dirty Fingers believes the power of music lies in it’s ability to make you feel good.
Originally formed in 2013 as a recording project to celebrate the music of jazz organist Big John Patton, Jim Alfredson’s Dirty Fingers evolved to incorporate not only Patton’s music but Alfredson’s originals as well.
Alfredson is well-known among jazz organ aficionados both for his solo work and his acclaimed trio organissimo. A fixture of the national and international blues and jazz world, Alfredson has toured worldwide with James Armstrong, Thornetta Davis, Janiva Magness, Larry McCray, Big Apple Blues, and many others.
