Grupo Escobar is Metro Detroit’s only Timba based Salsa group.

Led by Guitarist Steve Jarosz and drummer Mike Racette , Escobar started in 2006 and is returning to the Blue Llama as a six piece with horns.
Conguero Owl Diblassio, bassist Eddie Caraballo, Trombonist Chris Smith , Trumpeter Ben Wolkins, and if we’re lucky, an appearance by Roman Golshteyn on Guiro. Expect a lot of individual expression and hot Latin rhythms to feed your soul, shake your hips and move your feet!
