Newk’s Time: A Tribute to Sonny Rollins

Join us for a special evening of music honoring one of the most influential and enduring icons in jazz history—the legendary saxophonist and composer, Sonny Rollins. With two sets featuring two different lineups, this musical tribute will be curated by saxophonist Andrew Bishop, drummer Nick Collins and bassist Dave Sharp. For the 7pm set,  a quintet line- up will explore the vast and vibrant catalog of the "Saxophone Colossus." The 8:30pm set will feature a tribute to A Night at the "Village Vanguard," a live album recorded at the Village Vanguard in New York City on November 3, 1957, and released on Blue Note the following year, and will feature Andrew Bishop, Nick Collins and Andy Peck on bass.
