The NoW Trio

NoW Trio features pianist Ben Maloney, bassist Jeff Pedraz, and drummer Travis Aukerman. The group was formed in 2024 as a collaborative effort to present each member's distinct sound and wealth of experience on the bandstand. Their live performance features a unique combination of Jazz standards, original compositions, and lesser-known arrangements by prolific composers of years past. Together, they celebrate the monumental influence Jazz has had on American music, while highlighting the significance of the piano trio format. Some of their favorite and most influential trios include pianist Bill Evans with bassist Scott LaFaro and drummer Paul Motian, Brad Mehldau with Jorge Rossy and Larry Grenadier, Chick Corea with John Patitucci and Dave Weckl, Cedar Walton with David Williams and Billy Higgins, and Oscar Peterson with Ray Brown and Ed Thigpen, among many more!
