Tristan Cappel Quintet

Tristan Cappel is a saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist, composer, and producer from Detroit, MI. He
is currently based in Los Angeles, CA. Tristan is a deeply passionate and sought-after multiinstrumentalist. He seeks to musically and energetically uplift every environment he is fortunate to be a part of.

Tristan Cappel is releasing his sophomore album North Star on June 18th. This album emerged from a period of major change: the unexpected passing of a friend, the grief and acceptance that followed, and the long-overdue renunciation of bad habits. North Star embodies his processing of this period. The ensemble brings together notable Los Angeles figures including Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Telemakus, and Andrew Renfroe. The writing is melodic, lyrical, and built to sing.
