In a steady residency since 2022\, Nick has assembled a large repertoire of high energy\, hard-swinging original arrangements and compositions\, including seldom played tunes. Combining a wide variety of music with a regular band with consistent personnel creates an engaging performance where anything can happen. Nick and his groups are honored by a regular and growing audience\, beginning with their late set performances and more recently sold-out main sets. \nNick's groups regularly consist of the core trio with Rick Roe (piano) and Jeff Pedraz (bass)\, and the sextet features the front-line of Dwight Adams (trumpet)\, Andrew Bishop (saxophone)\, and Ben Lafo (trombone). These bandmates are a dream team of the Detroit scene\, with its members having worked with such legends as Louis Hayes\, Ron Carter\, Marcus Belgrave\, Sean Dobbins\, Gerald Cleaver\, Rodney Whitaker\, Randy Napoleon\, and many others.
