Born in Minneapolis\, Minnesota\, Jordan began piano lessons at the age of 7 and by his early teens he sought tutelage from some of Twin Cities’ leading voices in Black American Music\, most notably Detroit’s own Solomon Parham. He took his talents to the University of Michigan\, furthering his pianistic skills Benny Green and Andy Milne. After completing his Masters of Fine Arts in jazz studies at Michigan State University\, Jordan moved to Detroit where he can be found performing in a variety of styles ranging from straight-ahead jazz to house and hip-hop. \nHe is a frequent member of groups led by notable Detroit musicians such as Vincent Chandler\, Allen Dennard\, Russ Macklem\, and Kasan Belgrave to name a few.
