As a proud partner of the Michigan Theater, Blue LLama is elated to present a collaborative two-night series in tribute to “one of jazz’s finest clarinetists” the great Artie Shaw. Join us Thursday night at Blue LLama Jazz Club for a show featuring local musicians as they recreate some of Shaw’s most popular compositions and honor the musical prowess of this jazz legend. Then continue the Artie Shaw journey with us on Friday (2/9) at the Michigan Theater for a showing of the Oscar-winning documentary Artie Shaw: Time is All You’ve Got which includes a post-film Q&A with the director, Brigitte Berman.

Chris Tabaczynski is well-loved as one of Michigan's premier early jazz exponents and an expert on the Albert System clarinet.
