Jean Wilson is an American pianist and vocalist, best known for her work in the sacred/gospel genre. She is a classically trained director, arranger/composer and teacher. With a lifelong love of jazz, Jean started the group in 2019, casually billing it as Jean Wilson & Friends, with the idea of performing jazz standards with Friends - Rob Hejna, Jerry Brabenec, and Mark Kieme.
Numerous artists since have sat in as Friends, notably and most recently, Joe Palmer and Chris Brenner who now round out the sextet. With decades of musical brilliance between these gifted musicians, the group's arrangements are fresh, yet always seeking to capture the original brilliance of the great jazz standards.
