Caleb Robinson is an up-and-coming musician from Flint, Michigan. He has been learning the craft of drumming since the young age of three. He was inspired by watching his father play the drums at his grandparent’s church and soon received his first pair of drumsticks to play on the pews. Under the early tutelage of his father, he learned the ins and outs of drumming while also teaching himself along the way. While Caleb‘s playing career mainly focuses on the drums he also plays bass and piano and produces. He describes his musical style as aggressive yet dynamic. A few of his musical influences are Tony Williams, Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones, Omar Hakim, and Vinnie Colaiuta. Like them, Caleb has his own unique playing style, choosing to create a sound that is a mix of Jazz Fusion and Hip-Hop, two genres that bring out the best in him.
Three years after his debut album Reaching, Caleb has released a second project entitled Going Home. Reaching was about him longing for a sense of direction. Whereas Going Home takes you along his journey of finding what "home" means to him.
