Jauron Perry, is a 20-year-old rising Detroit-Native Trumpeter, Composer, Bandleader, and an undergraduate studying at Michigan State University’s College of Music. Recognized with the Next Generation of Talent award, Jauron has quickly gained much experience performing and working with Detroit jazz masters such as Rodney Whitaker, James Carter, Wendell Harrison, Marion Hayden, and Regina Carter, to name a few. Other sensations beyond Detroit include Dee Dee Bridgewater, Wynton Marsalis, Marquis Hill, and Jazzmeia Horn. Jauron has also been featured multiple times in popular events such as the Detroit Jazz Festival. He is the winner of the 1st Michigan Jazz Festival Rising Horn Competition in 2024.

He currently leads the Jauron Perry Quintet, the winner of the 2024 Detroit Jazz Festival Combo Competition. The quintet performed their debut set at the 2024 Detroit Jazz Festival, making Jauron’s debut album as a bandleader.
