A great collaboration of brilliant musicians who all span from different walks of life and all influenced by unique genres but connected by the love and appreciation for jazz. Naima as well as her band members are all Detroit homegrown musicians. She's a 2020 Kresge Fellow and well as performed throughout the country with numerous jazz greats such as Freddie Hubbard, Larry Willis, Steve Davis, Wendall Harrison, Steve Turre & Marion Hayden. The group produces music heavily impacted by Miles Davis, John Coltrane & Ahmed Jamal, Johnny Griffin and others.
