ABOUT UMPH:

UMPH is a jazz fusion group based out of Ann Arbor made entirely of U of M students, hailing from all sides of the country. The group is heavily based on the genres of funk, fusion, R&B, and soul.

ABOUT ROWAN TUCKER-MEYER QUARTET:

Pianist Rowan Tucker-Meyer is one of the most in demand young musicians in Ann Arbor. This dynamic quartet draws particular inspiration from Bill Evans’ work with Eddie Gomez and Marty Morell.

ABOUT SAM NOVELL-REGESTER SEXTET:

Currently in the U of M Masters of Improvisation program, Sam Novell-Regester is a Detroit-based trombonist with experience performing with many of the top players in the area and beyond. This group focuses mainly on music from the Hard Bop era, with specific influences such as the Curtis Fuller Sextet and Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers.
