Since the early 2000’s, Detroit-based guitar led Grupo Escobar has been playing high energy salsa, Timba and cha-cha! Since then they’ve branched out into many different styles of Latin music for a night of variety, interesting composition and improvisation! A staple at Blue LLama for years, come join the fun and high energy music! Whether you dance or just listen you’ll discover a totally unique experience in music that’s constantly evolving ! You’ll hear guitarist Steve Jarosz with ranges from Latin and pop to jazz and Flamenco , kit drummer Mike Racette, trained by Changuito in Cuba with appearances on Cuban Timba recordings in Havana, Conguero Owl DiBlassio and bassist Eddie Caraballo ,staples in the Michigan Latin scene, and Jazz improvisational masters Trumpeter Ben Wolkins and Trombonist Chris Smith!
